The first ever RCGP Series commenced last week, May 2, with the first two rounds held in the Philippines. The famous track of Circulo Verde in Quezon City, Philippines had its best makeover in preparation to host the first-ever RCGP World Series. The track is composed of hard compact dirt treated with a coating of molasses, a sticky and viscous sugar syrup, to help keep the form of the track in place. It's one of the most difficult layouts the Philippine Masters team has ever made - with the track characterized by plenty of jumps, unusual turns, varying elevations, and most definitely its high grip. A lot of the foreign drivers were also not used to the Philippines' summer heat which reached beyond 40 degrees Celsius and really made the race exhausting.
