Following the intrigue of Friday, with BeachRC Wildcard Marco Baruffolo setting the benchmark as the top seed for qualifying, the chasing pack had their sights set on toppling the Italian as Saturday's action got underway with the all important qualifying.
Q1 saw Infinity Team's Kyle McBride deliver a win, carrying Friday's encouraging pace through to qualifying, just 0.7 ahead of CommSportMx's Davide Ongaro. Juan Carlos Canas was over six seconds behind in third for SWORKz, whilst BeachRC Wildcard teammates Robert Batlle and Marco Baruffolo slotted into fourth and fifth respectively. Q2 saw Ongaro jump to the fore, a massive seven seconds ahead of the HB/Performa entry of David Ronnefalk, with Batlle in third and Canas in fourth.
