SPEC 1 (S1)

• 10 teams, 2 drivers per team, 20 total drivers
• Teams can have 1 reserve driver
• 3 - 10 minute free practice sessions
• 3 - 7 minute qualifiers (Fastest lap)
  • Q1 - 20 drivers top 15 move to Q2
  • Q2 - 15 drivers top 10 move to Q3
  • Q3 - 10 drivers set top 10 for the main
• Drivers 11-20 will race heads up for the last 2 spots in the main
• 12 drivers in the main top 10 drivers will be awarded points
• Drivers points will go to the driver and the team. Constructors and drivers will be awarded at the end of the series

Rules

• All cars will be inspected before and after every race
• Any violations in rules will result in a disqualification for that practice round, qualifying round, or main
• A driver can run both Spec 1 and Spec 2 classes
• Spec 1 and Spec 2 drivers cannot run Spec 3
• Top 3 race finishes will be counted (1 drop)
• Tie breakers will be based on finals finish (Traxxas HQ December 10th)
• Personal transponders are required. Transponder rentals will be available but limited. first come first serve.
• Race infraction penalties can be enforced at anytime and at the discretion of the race steward. Penalties are but not limited to the following:
  • warning
  • +5 seconds to a race
  • -1 lap
  • grid penalties
  • ejection
• Spec 1 teams must have an actual company sponsor. (Must have a DBA and conducting business) These companies will be promoted throughout the RC community as the series is active.
