WELCOME
Since IFMAR is the world governing body of Radio Controlled Car Racing this site will mainly contain information related to World Championship of Radio Controlled cars. The Officials in the IFMAR Board will naturally always keep the objectives of IFMAR as guidelines for the activities of the federation.
OBJECTIVES OF IFMAR
- Promote International friendship and co-operation throughout the world through and for the constructions and operation of RC Automobiles.
- Establish uniform International Rules and Regulations for the construction and operation of Radio Controlled Automobiles.
- Co-ordinate International races and competitions for all classes of Radio Controlled Automobiles to keep records thereof and distribute information relating thereto.
- Maintain the IFMAR World Championships as the only recognised World Championships for Radio Controlled Automobiles.

Attention Racers!Important announcement regarding the 2027 IFMAR Electric Off-Road Buggy World Championships.
As previously announced, no venue in the FAMAR BLOC was available to host the event. The IFMAR Board of Directors put to the remaining BLOCs to put forward options to host the event and we received 4 valid options to consider. EFRA, ROAR Racing and FEMCA ( Far East Model Car Association ) all providing venue options as well as a 4th option to return to Hills Off Road RC. We thank each BLOC for working swiftly with the BOD and their member countries to put forward strong options for consideration. The BOD discussed, debated and ultimately voted on the options and are pleased to announce we have selected EFRA and the Hudy Racing Arena (Trencin, Slovakia) to host the 2027 Championships. We are confident this will be a strongly supported and highly successful event at what is a truly world class facility. |
Redovan will host the 1/8 IC OffRoad Worlds!
Changing a race venue is always a difficult task.
The country that loses the event is not happy and the new organizer may be happy but needs to do a lot of work in a very short time. Due to the cancellation of the event in Brazil the IFMAR board of directors (BOD) have discussed the possibilities. Famar has submitted a few replacement venues but the “BOD” has made the decision that the event will return to the EFRA bloc, like the rules indicate. After-all this class is the biggest one within IFMAR together with electric off-road, so it deserves a good and experienced organizer, especially if there is only about 5 months to go. After speaking to EFRA, they decided to appoint REDOVAN, the organizer of the last WC event in 2022 to organize the 2024 IFMAR 1/8th Off-Road World championship. There is hardly 5 months to go but we think Redovan will do an excellent job, like they did in 2022. Thanks to all those clubs that have send in proposals either thru FAMAR or social media. Dates will remain the same They can supply fuel with 25%, like they did in 2022. They will design and build a completely new track design for September. See you ALL in Spain in September |
