Growing up in the 1990s, Nick and Chris Isenhouer were typical kids, tossing footballs and riding BMX bikes through the neighborhood. But when they put their bikes back in the garage, it was under photos of their father Bill and his friends racing Class 10 buggies. Bill Isenhouer made new memories with his sons as they grew, riding dirt bikes together across the California desert. By their early teens, Nick and Chris couldn’t wait to follow in their father’s footsteps and build their own truck. Nick purchased the F-100 when he was just 14. The plan was to get it running for commuting to school. Instead, it became an ambitious four-year project that the Isenhouer brothers pursued in their parents’ garage. Nick and Chris even skipped meals to save money, then bartered for the best parts they could find. In 2007 the F-100 was raced for the first time. After three more major design stages and rebuilds since then, it has become the 1450 class race truck that it is today. In 2014 the Isenhouer Brothers and Heat Wave Visual became partners and, more importantly, friends. Their mutual support on and off the desert has helped both brands enjoy tremendous growth. The results speak for themselves. Most recently, the Isenhouer Brothers brought home a 6100 class win at the 2022 Mint 400. Nothing was handed to Nick and Chris Isenhouer. It’s in the blood.
