Double win at NXC!
It was hard work and the closest competitors Pelle, Marcus and Hampus kept me on my toes all weekend long! We had a bit of rain on Sunday but very little and with the oil it was perfectly dry again as soon as it stopped more or less.
I had a close fight with Pelle Culmsee in EP, he drove very well and it was a fight over the finish line in A3. I was able to win it just in front of him and took the overall win by that as I also won A1 with him taking A2. Great job to Daniel Bubel for taking 3rd place as well!
In nitro I felt very well in the semi and would start on pole for the main. My car was on rails in the early stages of the main and I was able to pull out a big gap which gave me the comfort I wanted. However just as I was about to lap Marcus Kaerup I started to struggle with my brakes, I lost the front brakes and would end up making a few mistakes in the last 15min. It was not easy to drive without front brake on a high grip and high speed track like this hehe
Luckily I had the big gap and even though Marcus probably closed in about half a lap on me the last 15min I was doing what I could to control the race during the last 5min. Awesome drive by Marcus, really showed plenty of speed! Also good job to Pelle taking 3rd place
It’s been a few stressfull days and right now I’m packing the bags to start my travel to Portugal and the IBC/Euro Warmup tomorrow morning! Let’s keep pushing
