P36

It was a very exciting but also exhausting week of racing. At first I struggled a little as I wasn't used to this kind of track size and style but as the week progressed I was getting faster and more confident. In qualifying I managed a 21st place in Q4, which showed my overall speed as it wasn't even a perfect run. Overall I finished 44th after qualifying which meant P6 for the 1/8th final on Saturday. I got a okay-ish start but made too many little mistakes in the opening minutes which is crucial at this level of racing. I managed to keep my head cool and drove myself up to P5 in the end, 1 spot away from the bump-up. Luckily for me one of the drivers in front of me got disqualified so I got the 4th place and the bump to the quarters. We didn't have much time to prepare the car because everything was very hectic and the temperatures were raising quickly so I had to start with way too soft dampers and used tyres. In the end I finished the final on P11 after way too many mistakes. Overall I finished my first worlds on P36 which is way above my expectations. Of course I could have finished higher as the speed was obviously there but looking at the drivers in front of and behind me I'm very happy with the result. I'm also the third best AE driver of the event, feels great.

Still can't believe that I'm 36th in the world.
