Back out in California this past weekend for the TNR Challenge at Thunder Alley!

Back out in California this past weekend for the TNR Challenge at Thunder Alley! Huge turnout and a great layout made for some very close racing in the Pro class. Practice was a bit limited with the record turnout, but I managed to get a session of Buggy in to learn the track. Qualifying went off well in truggy going 3-2-2 to start second after being just short of TQ in Q2 and Q3. In buggy I didn’t have quite as clean of runs but still had some speed to get a 4, 4 to start 5th for the main.

I couldn’t have asked for better cars, both buggy and truck started off firing in the mains running second close to the lead, in buggy I managed to battle up front until the 8 min mark where I had a crash in the step off and couple rough laps to follow dropping me back. I ended up getting back into the 7th position by the end of the 25 min final. In truck I had a similar story recovering to a 5th place finish. Not the best finish after the potential from the early minutes of the main, but it was good preparation for DNC to see where to improve. Both BLOK powered Tekno RC cars on JConcepts Inc Green Reflex were feeling dialed in throughout the event with minimal adjustments. Thanks to Matthew Dominick Armeni for the help in the pits all weekend, and

congrats

to Ryan and Spencer on their wins.
