This event was held at Thunder alley raceway in super cold n windy at times…beautiful scenery Beaumont ca..literally in backyard of some of our families.

Onto the race report ..being just shy of 700 entries for a 3 days event ..practice/heats/mains cut short quite a bit. Everyone had about 12 mins practice and onto qualifying.

Nitro Truggy we manage to Tq round 3 which was super close and with that we started 3rd for the mains. In the mains Lb made an early rookie mistake first lap sending him back to 8th position and had to fight his way up. It was quite a challenge as everyone is fast in this main. We was able to catch up and past a few pros including 2 Ryan’s and finally caught up to our hb teammate #ryanpavidis currently in 2nd after a long a$$ 8 mins. as he was on his A game driving…his hb D8T evo is just as fast as ours and it just came down to one bobble that gave us the 2nd position which was almost overtaken by him again! Our hb D8T EVO was just so fast and consistent at this layout.

Nitro buggy D819rs(worlds spec) we managed to qualify into the A main starting 10th. We had the speed and consistency and was able to finished 5th after 25 mins main. Which is a huge accomplishment to date.

Ebuggy E819rs..we had reciever issues which cost us 2 much needed qualifying rounds ..we ended C q. We was leading most of the 7 mins main til it shut down(thermo shut down—left motor fan off )on last lap …luckily we had a good lead and still got last bump spot. In B main we started dead last .. it was a shame ..our hb D819rs was that good …we got the fastest and most consistent buggy but it was so hard to catch up to the bump spots …we was tormented with some crashed cars..and the free no cost turn marshalls didn’t help too. Lb went down the stairs literally crying ..and that means something…he’s growing up.

Etruggy E8T EVO…was just on another level..qualifying was tough in this class..but after some rough racing able to tq and won the main. Most pros didn’t run this class..we don’t know..maybe they just don’t want a piece of Phitruggy lol.

Overall Lb drove very well this past weekend…This is a track we are not that accustomed to..huge elevations and very technical. And of course Mother Nature. Definitely we saw a little of what Lb will be for times to come. Our Hb and Jconcepts tires was just that good here.
