NXC Grand Prix 2023 Warm Up
Nxc Grand Prix warm up is done and dusted🔥 Friday was only practice and that went by quickly no struggles except that I needed to get used to the cars and the new layout for 2023. The cars was nice to drive, a little hat tho In the bumps but overall for a first run and day they were good. Onto the evening we got some ideas and we applied them directly to the nitro and they were so much better much better in the bumps. We didn’t change much on the Ebuggy except for some springs and link setup. I qualified 6th in nitro and 10th in Ebuggy. Had some bad luck in the qualys with the Ebuggy but I made it to the A main👍 Onto Friday and finals day and as you’ve seen we had a lot of rain so the start was delayed until 13:00 and the NXC track crew did it again and made the track race able for us thanks a lot🙏 I started 3rd in semi B and held that place the whole final with only two or three mistakes. Ebuggy A final we were only able to run one round of that, and that went good and bad. I got of to a great start making up four spots, already up to 6th, and I felt like I had a lot of speed which I did also have, and I made up another spot after two minutes, then there were a fight for 3rd and 4th like half a lap in front of me, so I just put my head down wheels to the track, started to make up some ground. One of the guys fighting made a mistake and I went by now I only had 3rd place driver left to make the podium. With a lap left his battery died right before the main straight, and that’s it I’m on the podium I thought. With only 3 corners left to go my battery also died so that’s it finished like p6-7.
Nitro A main stated fifth, and as always with my nitro start I caught a rut at the first jump and I’m down to last, time to put my head down again to try and make up some sort of positions so that’s what I did almost. I made some mistakes in the early minutes but then I just put my wheels to the ground and made up some good pace, and I started to pick car after car until I was back in fifth and I stayed there for the rest of the race.
