Euros is finally over and it was a tough one.
Feeling pretty good on first day we were not able to find the extra bit of speed from there. Unfortunately everything we tried from our starting setup didn’t improve my speed on the track which was a bit frustrating of course.

Qualified 12th but was still hopeful for the mains, usually this is when I bring my A game.
I had a bad start in semi due to being taken out in the 2nd corner which wasn’t a surprise knowing who started behind. Found myself in the back, got into a good rythm and started to climb back up.

For the first time this week I felt there was a bit of pace in the car and I finished 6th in the end in our semi which was a time quicker than many others in the other semi.
I finished some 25 sec behind the time of JCC and considering the terrible start I had I thought a good aim for the main would be 3-5 place this time.

Started the main in 8th, got a great start where I passed 4 cars in the first stint. Everything was feeling pretty good for the first 15min until sun went down and track was covered by the shadow. Temperature dropped and I lost the pace I had, struggled to keep Mattia and Elliott behind and would make a mistake eventuallty. I fell down the list the longer the main went and even though I thought I drove some good laps, the speed was just not there anymore.

With 5 minutes to go I was in the bottom of the main and I retired after a technical issue. Luckily I wasn’t fighting for any top spots as I had to retire, so it didn’t really matter this time even though it always sucks when it happens!

It’s been a tough year but the turning point will come. Just have to keep on working to become better!

Like always I’m very thankful for all my sponsors and their support. I’m sorry it finished the way it did this time, I have to bounce back and start fighting for the top spots where we belong soon.

Special shout out will go to the whole Matrix team this time, thank you to Cris, Verry, Stocco, Bosi for all your help and supporting with tire gluing and everything all week long. Next one is ours!

I’ll be back soon, time to fly back home.
