2023 AMS Alabama Manufacturer Shootout is done and dusted

2023 AMS  Alabama Manufacturer Shootout is done and dusted. It was great to have a true international presence there and within the Mayako team. Also to have Nicola Marrone there from Hotrace Tyres Factory.

Bittersweet event for me, as it was my last race event as a professional driver. Results were mixed and the finishes were nothing close to what I wanted. My cars were good, I made some good changes with the track conditions from practice into qualifying. Having top 3 speed in every qualifier was fun, getting a couple 2nd’s and battling for TQ. Unfortunately I didn’t make the correct setup changes in the Super Pole’s and Main’s, which is a bummer. I would say that’s been my weakest link during my whole career, and it’s a bummer it was so evident in my last race. I knew the change I needed driving home, but it never registered during main day.

It was great to see everybody, I have so many great memories racing and meeting friends. JTP RC did awesome during the event, the support is so cool and appreciated. Huge thanks to Graham Hill for all the help the last 3 years. #RaceToWin
