This weekend we attended the Beast of the East Triple Crown at World of R/C Parts & Thunder Alley R/C Speedway. It’s been a hot minute since the family has done any racing. Cali was so excited as it was her first time racing since early 2021. It also was the first time she was able to drive the car all by herself. Sarah and I are so proud of how she did, finishing 10th in Novice. Sarah raced Mod 4wd and quickly got back to speed. Sarah qualified 7th and finished 4th. Lastly, my 39+1 year old butt got out there to compete with Lee Setser and Brennan Schimmel in the highly contested Mod 2wd class. In the end, I did okay and finished a close 3rd, kinda proud of myself lol. We all had a blast pitting in the Privateer Tent City. Huge thanks to Dave McEwen, Eric Washburn, Josh Parrish, Ryan Caudle for the entertainment. It was fun. Until the next time.
