It’s been an extremely challenging weekend with the ever changing track conditions, the car going from very edgy to too easy to drive in a space of 2 hours. I’m very proud of the work me and my team put into preparing for this event and all of us worked so hard during this week! Thank you to Mattia, Andy, Ollie and the rest of the Schumacher team here racing at Finishline Raceway. We had tears in our eyes today, but this only makes us stronger for the future.

The finals didn’t go our way. After getting my car completely destroyed in A1, we had to bend my chassis back with pliers and fix a few broken parts with extremely limited time ahead of A2. I’m so grateful to have such a wonderful team around me supporting me in tough situations like this. A2 was perfect and it all came down to A3, where we lacked a bit of pace and luck in the colder conditions.

It was the first time we were able to fight for the World Championship title in Touring Car, but it wasn’t meant to be this time around and we will continue working hard for the next one.

My friend, team mate and mechanic made the Modified A-main this weekend. I will never forget the tears and joy in his eyes, when I told him he qualified 10th. Grazie mille per tutto e complimenti amico mio.
