TNR Fuels A Main Challenge was quite the experience.
My HB Worlds Spec buggies felt amazing off rip and couldn't be more excited for the rest of the year. Speed was amazing in these missiles, super comfortable to drive and amazing grip provided by my TZO tires! Ultimate powerplants Fueled by VP Racing Fuels had my runtime super strong. I measured fuel mileage a few times, 11:00-11:25 everytime.
I had a rough first round of quals, only having ran ebuggy in practice once, and the esc needed some tuning to time jumps better. Nitro buggy was fun, I was able to TQ round 2, and jumped on the inside of the pipe of Q3 costing me a few seconds, only to qualify 2nd in Q3 by a few tenths. With the tie break, I was able to TQ nitro buggy. Ebuggy I salvaged a P4 Start spot.
25 minute a main in nitro buggy called for 2 pit stops, I led early only to make a timing mistake hitting the low spot of the center section before the step up sending me back to P2. I caught Rivkin and had a few more bobbles and he ran away with a clean race. Maifiled and I battled the rest of the race, and I almost got back to P2 on the last few laps, running out of time finishing 7 tenths off Maifield.
Ebuggy was a different story, Lutz decided in the first turn he was going to jump wide and then jump back into oncoming cars and I was the one he ended up collecting. Had to claw back to the front blistering out laps from dead last finishing P3 as well. Bummer because I thought we had the car to contend, but due to being blasted on the start I had no chance.
Big thanks to the Nelson's for the pit spot, and hospitality all weekend, and Cody Thompson and Camden Lime for the help in the pits.
