The first World Championship on asphalt road surface in which I participated was held at an outdoor circuit in California, USA.

A Worlds car which was created by adding Yokomo's taste to Associated's car while repeating local pre-tests.

The combination of American tire manufacturer JACO tires, Reedy motor, Protoform body, TEKIN ESC, and KO PROPO's equipment were the best match.

After a fierce battle with Mr. Berry Baker and Mr. Brian Kinwald of the United States, it was my second victory in the 1/12th race and my 8th world title.

"ASSOCIATED RC12LS Yokomo special" contributed to winning the world title for the 8th time in total by scoring top finish in both the qualifying and the final.

自身が参加する中では初めてのアスファルト路面での世界選手権が、アメリカ・カリフォルニア州にあるアウトドア サーキットで開催された。

現地での事前テストを繰り返しながら、アソシエイテッドのマシンにヨコモテイストを加えて作ったワールズカー。アメリカのタイヤメーカーであるJACO製のタイヤや、リーディ モーター、プロトフォーム ボディ、TEKIN ESC、KO PROPOのメカなどの組み合わせがベストマッチだった。

アメリカのベリー・ベーカー氏やブライアン・キンワルド氏との激しいバトルの末、同種目2度目の優勝、8度目の世界タイトル獲得となった。

予選、決勝共にトップゴールし、通算8度目の世界タイトル獲得に貢献してくれた『ASSOCIATED RC12LS Yokomo special』。
