The car used in this race is the Associated RC12L3 fully tuned by Yokomo. The material, shape and thickness of the main chassis, as well as the position of the battery, have been thoroughly tested on-site in advance, making this a special car which can handle low-grip asphalt surfaces.

It was a rare car which gained an advantage over other cars as the track surface grip decreased. South Africa was the farthest country I have participated in so far, and I was not in the best mental condition for the race because of the fatigue from the long trip, security issues.

However, the car had an advantage like never before, and I was able to win both the qualifying and the final rounds without losing a single top time.

The motor I used Reedy modified, the battery was Sanyo, the ESC was GM Racing, the servo was KO PROPO, the body was Andy's, and the tires were TRC and JACO Racing.

この大会で使用した車は、アソシエイテッド RC12L3をヨコモがフルチューンしたもの。メイン シャーシの材質、形状、厚み、そしてバッテリーの搭載位置などを現地で事前に徹底テストし、低グリップのアスファルト路面に対応したスペシャルマシン。

路面グリップが下がれば下がるほど、他車よりもアドバンテージを得られる珍しい車だった。南アフリカは、今まで参加した世界選手権の中で最も遠い国で、長旅の疲れや治安の問題、慣れない食事など、ベストな精神状態で臨める大会ではなかったが、過去にないほど車にアドバンテージがあり、予選、決勝共に、1つのラウンドもトップタイムを明け渡すことなく優勝することができた。

使用モーターはリーディ、バッテリーはサンヨー、ESCはGM　Racing、サーボはKO PROPO、ボディはアンディーズ、タイヤはTRCとJACOだった。

世界の大舞台で、ぶっちぎりの速さで走ってくれて、
