PNB 24'

PNB 24'

Honestly, one of the most enjoyable weekends of racing I've had in a while. I've felt like a weight has been lifted off my shoulder, and really concentrated on being stress free, as well as having a good time with my friends. Yes, racing at a high level should be taken dead serious, as for me it always has been.

Lance and the whole Elite RC Productions group did amazing, the media presence is awesome and I can't wait to see the growth moving forward. Racetime built an awesome track, fun and flowing but not without a couple of visual effects on the far sides of the track. All in all, great to be back at PNB!

I went into racing very open-minded. I shook down my rent a ride at S&B, 2 weekends ago, and went right to PNB with it, as well as a new truck. Truck needed a race to be broken in, but of course we had to get blown off track at the start of the B ahaha.

The MBX8R buggy worked great, and reacts very well to suttle changes. Getting my balls back (pillow balls) felt nice for a change, we showed decent speed in the quals and even could have qualified top 5 if my last lap of q2 wasn't compromised by someone else's mistakes. But it is what it is and I made it to the show.

Made a few tweaks to help consistency for the A, and the car felt well balanced wrapped in TZO Soft 202. Unfortunately, just like Q2, same guy same turn, straight to p18 on lap 1 of the main 🤦‍♂️ I was able to work up to P6 and P7 right in the mix, and about halfway through I clipped the pipe after the big center double and kind a lost touch for a few laps but was able to finish P8 overall.

Thanks to everyone for the help all weekend, Scott White for pitting me all weekend, Dylan Nelson and Casey Wilson for the pit help in the buggy main. Thanks to Adam Drake, Chuck Berg, and Mike Rinke, for setup tips and parts that I bummed, Scott Heckert for all the quality cooking, Brian Beckholt for getting me a taste, Lee Flowers for the rent a whip, as well as my family for the love and support!

Lastly, to my sponsors....thank you all so much!
